As the musical heart of the Germany–Jordan Peace Initiative, Ensemble Coexist transforms intercultural dialogue into a shared artistic experience.
Musicians from Israel, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Türkiye, Germany and other countries demonstrate that music can bring people together beyond cultural, religious and political boundaries.

Ensemble Coexist – The Heart of the Germany–Jordan Peace Initiative

Ensemble Coexist forms the artistic heart of the Germany–Jordan Peace Initiative. As an international chamber ensemble, it brings together musicians of different origins, cultures and religions and stands as a powerful example of the unifying force of music.

Within the initiative, Ensemble Coexist will perform as the soloist ensemble together with the project orchestra during the major symphonic concerts in Jordan. In addition, the ensemble will lead dialogue concerts, workshops and personal encounters with local partners, educational institutions and communities before and during the residency.

Through this combination of artistic excellence and personal exchange, a sustainable dialogue emerges that extends beyond the concert stage.

Previous Projects and Experiences

Since its foundation, Ensemble Coexist has reached numerous audiences in Germany with its programme “Zuerst Mensch – In Musik vereint” (“First and foremost human – united through music”) and demonstrated how music can build bridges between cultures and religions.

The ensemble’s projects and concert tours have been supported by the German Federal Ministry of the Interior and Community (BMI) and have created opportunities for encounters at various locations throughout Germany.

Through concerts, dialogue formats and personal encounters, Ensemble Coexist brings together musicians of different backgrounds, religions and cultures, creating spaces for dialogue and mutual understanding.
