BIRD e.V. – Music as a Bridge Between People
1. Ave Pax – A Musical Sign of Peace
“Ave Pax” is a composition by Sebastian Römisch, created in 2015 as part of the peace concerts of BIRD e.V.
The work combines classical music with the idea of interreligious dialogue. “Ave Pax” has become a musical expression of BIRD’s vision:

For many years, BIRD e.V. has connected people of different cultures and religions through shared musical experiences. The concert series “First Human – United Through Music” stands for dialogue, encounter and the unifying power of music.
Ensemble Coexist – Music Knows No Boundaries
3. Sim Shalom
Ensemble Coexist brings together musicians of different backgrounds, cultures and religions. Through their shared music-making, they create a sign of understanding and peace.
4. Longa Riad
“Longa Riad” is a traditional Arabic musical piece that reflects the unique language of oriental music. In the interpretation by Ensemble Coexist, this musical tradition is connected with the heritage of European classical music.
5. Ensemble Coexist Trailer
Ensemble Coexist is an international ensemble of musicians from different backgrounds, cultures and religions. Its members come from Israel, Syria, Palestine, Egypt, Turkey and Germany and belong to different faith traditions, including Judaism, Christianity, Islam and the Druze faith.
Founded on the belief that music has the power to bring people together, Ensemble Coexist creates a space for dialogue and understanding. Different musical traditions meet and merge into a shared language.
On stage, a space of encounter emerges – beyond origins, religion and political boundaries. Music becomes an expression of a simple yet powerful message:

6. Holm (A Dream) – A Shared Dream
“Holm” – the Arabic word for “dream” – tells of the longing for a future in which people are connected with one another, regardless of their background, culture or religion.
In the interpretation by Ensemble Coexist, this dream becomes a musical encounter between different traditions. Musicians from diverse backgrounds and faiths create a shared soundscape in which differences do not divide, but enrich one another.
The music reminds us that peace and understanding often begin with a simple idea: the dream that people can meet each other.
